What better way to warm your heart then with these fun and cheery ‘cracked up’ snowmen! I used DecoArt Weathered Wood medium to give these little guys their crackled finish. It is fun to use and I found it gave them just the look that I wanted. I created a video showing how I applied the Weathered Wood that is available on my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/scrollgirlcanada) You can go there to see it, as well as to subscribe.
You can make these snowman as shown, spelling out ‘Winter’, or paint them to spell out any phrase or name you want using the full alphabet pattern provided. They will look lovely in a wreath, as a garland, or even as refrigerator magnets. Whatever you decide, they will be a great addition to your home during that dreary time after the holidays when everything tends to look empty. They would even make a nice craft on a cold winter day when the kids are looking for something to do.
(This pattern uses DecoArt Americana paints and mediums.)
