This project was originally created for the online class “Art Play Date 2015”. I thought it would be a fun way to explore many different easy techniques using texture and some simple embellishments. the best part about this is that there is very little painting skill required. The process is not only quick, but also lots of fun as well.
In creating the skates, I used Margot Clark’s MUD texture paste. While other texture past may work as well, I highly recommend Margot’s MUD because it truly dries “hard as a rock” and won’t chip of flake off.
(This pattern uses DecoArt Americana paints and Margot’s MUD texture medium.)
We have a wood surface for use with this pattern as well as a money saving COMBO (which includes the wood surface and the mailed paper pattern) in the related product links below.
