These pretty little deer ornaments were created when a painting friend of mine in one of my groups was looking for someone to cut some deer for her. She had found a photo on Pinterest of a retro deer in white, and the shop that had offered it apparently closed. After looking around the internet for something similar and not finding anything, I thought I would do my own spin on the concept and offer it up to you.
I wanted mine to be a bit more colorful, yet keep that ‘retro’ feel, so I made them in soft pastels. There is still a more traditional brown deer for those of you who wish to do them that way, too. The pattern includes step-by-step instructions with diagrams & color photos.
(This pattern uses DecoArt Americana paints and mediums.)
