Painting on a dark background can be a challenge to some painters. Many may not realize that when working with a darker background, it is best to undercoat with a lighter, neutral color before adding the topcoat colors. We can use this to our advantage by creating textures and depth with these undercoats, and glazing the final colors on top. It really makes a fun way to paint!
